  1. Thanks so much Troy!
I really enjoyed the interview and talking with you- it was a ton of fun! 🙂 I still can’t believe I did the cartoon voice… haha.
LOVE what you’re doing here and look forward to sharing WP Elevate with my audience too.
    Thanks again,

Thanks so much for interviewing Kim Doyal. I love how our WordPress community is so connected. I heard about Kim Doyal from my business coach, Nina East (http://webdesignprofitsecrets.com/). I have started following Kim and listening to her podcasts. They are informative and enjoying.

Kim – thank you for being so candid with your story. I can relate to so much of it. Your real you comes across through your website and words. It is very refreshing.

My personal marketing challenge right now is adding content to my website to attract visitors to the site. I know how important it is to build an email list and I am in the beginning of the process. It is encouraging to know that you both had the voice of self-doubt when you started the process and now have evolved into offering podcasts. My take-away is in order to get to that point – I need to just start.

Thanks again to you both for a great podcast!

  3. Thanks so much Mary!
I get the struggle of adding content to your website. Even with the podcast I find it can be challenging at times to get in done or even decide what it is I want to create (especially during times of growth or a change in direction!).

Sometimes you don’t get in the mood until you’re right in the middle of it and then other times it simply flows. I find that when I’m really in alignment and doing the things I want to be doing the content is easier (that was a gentle reminder to myself too!).
Glad you’re working with Nina East- she’s fabulous!

    Thanks again Mary.

Biggest marketing challenge is actually generating leads, I
seem to manage fine once I get them into the funnel and I do generate some
leads however to achieve what I want to achieve I need to generate more leads…
    any tips?

Loved the advice especially on when to hire someone and how
    very true it is …

  6. I am in my startup phase and will launch my, Consulting and WP Develop business later this year.

My marketing challenge is not WP specific, but how to set up a marketing roadmap / plan, with all these good ideas.

So having a roadmap sketching out:
This and this are good ways to start off.
After having implemented one of these, take in this or this direction.
Take care of this and this. Check regularly, etc

what an inspirational and enjoyable interview. Thanks Troy and Kim, so many golden nuggets here. My biggest challenge is creating content and I know why — I’ve not been able to define my audience. You guys talked about avatars and exercises for defining your ideal client and audience. I would love more info on these exercises and how to actually do the work to get clarity here.

thanks for sharing so openly Kim — love your laugh and the joy you brought to this interview.

  9. Thanks SO much Yael! (Sorry for the belated reply). One of the easiest ways to go about creating content (IMHO) is to share what you’re doing in your business, what you’re going through. It’s a great way to connect with your audience and usually leads to more creativity for more content.
    Thanks again,
    Kim
