Welcome to Episode 30 of the WP Elevation Podcast. This week’s featured guest is none other than Andrew Warner of Mixergy – where the ambitious learn from a mix of experienced mentors through interviews and courses. I’m thrilled and honoured to have Andrew on the show all the way from San Francisco. He’s built and sold a successful $38 million a year online company, he knows business, and he is the real deal!

Show Notes

It’s so hard to choose just a few highlights from this interview because I think the whole thing is GOLD!

One of my favourite interviews so far, it’s a must listen for anyone with big ambition, or anyone simply doubting their own capabilities.

WP Elevation Tip of the Week: If you’re struggling with overcoming self doubt, you’ll find some true gems in this interview. At the 33 minute mark Andrew talks about using  his “true-mind” and overcoming fear by taking small steps one at a time. He also discusses the importance of being yourself and not hiding  behind a lie; it’s liberating and means that you never have to pretend. Great advice for anyone.

Watch out at the 9:50 mark where Andrew says, “You are what you surround yourself with; and you want to do what your heroes are doing.” You’ve got to hear his philosophy on how easy it is to learn from people you admire without even trying.

Andrew is a hard-core long distance runner (what is it with entrepreneurs and long distance running?). At 20:50  I love his analogy of why running is like running a business.

The last thing to listen out for is Andrew’s method of using beads as a way of manifesting what you want. Confused? Tune in now!

  3. I’d love to see Chris Lema on Mixergy. (http://chrislema.com/about/) Why? Because I’d like to know what drives his commitment to entrepreneurs (WordPress and otherwise) and how he manages having what seems to be a ton of irons in the fire.

  4. I also would like to see Troy Dean on Mixergy 🙂

I’d love to see Troy on Mixergy, but since Andrew just showed up here I think it’s going to happen anyway. Can we have Chris Coyier from CSS Tricks? I think he’s not on Mixergy yet.

Hi Troy – First of all great interview! I don’t have a name but I’d love to see a top Australian Entrepreneur (other than yourself) to encourage and inspire more of us Australians to enter this field.
